After hours
It is 9pm and the house is not cooling.
Call or text. We are a one-truck shop, so we will not pretend to be a 24-hour call center — but the phone gets answered by the person who would come out, and you will get a straight answer about tonight or first thing tomorrow.
What after-hours costs
One flat $95. Not a doubled rate.
The repair itself stays at its set book price. The only thing that changes is one flat charge on the visit — not on every line, and not a multiplier on the labor.
That is the whole rule. There is no double-time tier, no holiday multiplier, and no separate emergency rate. A contactor costs the same at 7pm Tuesday as it does at noon on Sunday.
Before you call
Two things worth checking yourself.
Check the breaker and the switch
Reset the breaker once. Check the service switch by the indoor unit — it looks like a light switch and gets flipped by accident more often than you would think. If the breaker trips again, stop and call us.
Check the filter and the drain pan
A filter that has not been changed in six months will freeze a coil solid. If the pan is full or the ceiling is stained, shut the system off at the thermostat and call — that one gets expensive fast.
Gas emergencies
If you smell gas, do not call us first.
Leave the house. Then call 911 and Atmos Energy at 866-322-8667 from outside. Do not flip switches, do not use the phone indoors, and do not go back in to check anything. Call us once you are safe and the gas company has cleared it.
Call or text and we will tell you straight.
If it can wait until morning we will say so and save you the $95. If it cannot, we will tell you that too.
