HVAC service · Lake Dallas, Hickory Creek & Shady Shores
AC and heating repair in the Lake Cities, TX.
Lake Dallas, Hickory Creek and Shady Shores sit right on the west side of Lewisville Lake, about nine miles from us. We cover all three.
What we see in the Lake Cities
Two very different kinds of house, a few streets apart.
Lake Dallas did most of its growing in the 1970s, so a lot of homes here are working on their third or fourth air conditioner, often with ductwork that has never been touched. Hickory Creek is the opposite: its housing more than doubled after 2000, which means plenty of builder-installed systems now crossing the 15-to-20-year mark at the same time.
Being on the lake adds humidity to the job. An oversized or short-cycling system will cool the air without ever pulling the moisture out, and you end up with a cold, clammy house. When we look at a system out here we check whether it is actually dehumidifying, not just whether the air coming out is cold.
What we do here
Service for the Lake Cities homes.
AC repair
From the old Lake Dallas homes near Main Street to newer Hickory Creek builds. Diagnostic is $89 and is waived when you approve the repair.
Tune-ups
Lake air is hard on coils and drain lines. A spring tune-up catches the clogged drain before it becomes a ceiling stain.
Replacement
Older Lake Dallas homes often need the duct conversation along with the equipment one. We cover both in the quote.
Your utilities
Power, gas and rebates in the Lake Cities.
Power here depends on your street: Lake Dallas is mostly in the Oncor retail-choice area, while CoServ serves parts of Lake Dallas and Hickory Creek. Gas is Atmos Energy. Atmos gas customers can get $300 to $350 back on a qualifying high-efficiency furnace in the 2026 to 2027 program year. CoServ members can earn a $10 monthly bill credit June through September with an approved smart thermostat through CoServ’s PeakTime Perks program.
Utility programs change. Check the current terms with your provider before you count on a rebate.

Questions
Common questions from the Lake Cities.
Do you cover Shady Shores and Hickory Creek too?
Yes. All three Lake Cities are on our regular route, at the same prices as Denton.
Why is my house cold but still sticky?
Usually a system that is too big for the house or one with an airflow problem. It drops the temperature before it has run long enough to remove moisture. We can measure it and tell you which it is.
How do I know if I have CoServ or Oncor?
Look at your electric bill. CoServ bills you directly as a co-op member; if your bill comes from a retail provider such as TXU or Reliant, your wires company is Oncor.
In the Lake Cities and need it looked at?
Call or text and you will talk to the person who comes out. Same book, same prices, and a straight answer about when we can get there.
